How to Install Upper Corner Cabinets

Installing your own cabinet is a rewarding project. A corner cabinet will add much-needed space to your kitchen as well as add a touch of elegance. You can get unstained wood so you can stain them to match your existing cabinets, or you can purchase ready-stained wood as well. There are a variety of types of storage contained in a corner cabinet. You can get a corner cabinet with shelves, a corner cabinet with a lazy Susan, or even one with glass doors. No matter what type you choose, they are all useful and easy to install.

Instructions

    1

Measure from the ceiling down to where you want the top of your cabinet. Mark this with a pencil mark on the wall.

    2

Use your stud finder to find the studs and mark with an X where it will be visible to you above the cabinet when you get the cabinet up.

    3

Lift up the cabinet to the mark on the wall and have your helper hold it in place.

    4

Use your drill to screw one of the the screws on one side on the inside of the cabinet to the studs in the wall.

    5

Use your leveler and level it even. Keeping it level, screw in the other screw on the other side. For extra security for weight, screw in two more screws near the bottom of the cabinet into the studs on each side.
